The term ‘Ozette’ holds special significance to Terry, as his ancestors were known inhabitants of this area along the Olympia Peninsula near Neah Bay, WA.
In 1750, when a mudslide devastated and destroyed the village, most residents migrated to Neah Bay. Today, Ozette is an official archaeological site in the state of Washington.
